Nick Hithersay
Biography
After years working at a desk I now devote most of my time to working mostly out and about or from my small studio in Church Crookham, losing myself for hours at a time getting to grips with the latest artistic challenge whether it be for my own enjoyment, a commissioned piece or adding to my portfolio. I try to depict interesting things found in the ordinary landscape and objects surrounding our everyday lives as well as the nooks and crannies in familiar and unfamiliar faces. I love a blank canvas and planning how to fill it with what I can see and what I imagine; I sometimes love the finished result; I love learning and experimenting; I even love the struggle when nothing's going right and I love the odd moment when something magically appears just how I want it.
