This is excellent Lew , I remember once being told by a drill sergeant that you are to remain silent when addressing an officer . Mmm so you get charged with dumb insolence if you don’t answer , never win in the military especially in the past .

Great sketch - interesting characters (and text).

Excellent Lewis.

Great drawings and funny!

Such wonderful noses Lewis and great humour.

Thank you very much. On the forum this was a bit of a quiz, the idea being you guessed the book. As it's already been guessed, and quickly, I should have said what it is. It's from Spike Milligan's first book about his life in the Army...'Adolf Hitler - My part in his downfall.' I changed the dialogue, slightly, and made no attempt at a caricature of Spike as that would have made it too easy. In the event, it proved 'easy' anyway.

Brilliant Lewis, 'Puckoon' was a book that me and my friends could almost quote verbatim in our younger years.

Such a good interpretation, and funny! And terrific art, as usual.

Brilliant! You could also do it without text and invite viewers to add their own - endless possibilities :)

You may have seen this on the forum, but not everybody reads the forum. Here's my effort. I felt it needed some text, or it could be anything. The idea is to guess the book. This one was guessed pretty quickly. Coloured pencil drawing.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
