Yes, Peter, one of the others in our group is also unhappy she finishes quickly. Each to our own, each as successful in the end. Looking forward to seeing your Four Seasons when complete, Paul.  If we may.
Apparently Van Gogh could do a portrait in 45 minutes so compared to that I'm slow!
I will probably finish this tomorrow if I get the opportunity to paint , blocked in the base colours on the figures just needs some details here and there . The thing I find awkward I’d the faces , but as Alan advised me I will leave then quite simple and vague.
like those very much Paul definitely worth sticking with them
Thanks Sylvia.
Lovely to see you back in the forum, Sylvia. Lovely work, once again, Dixie. I like the green of the van against the warm background colours.
La Sylv is back!  Excellent news -  hope you're feeling very much better.
I've been known to leave a painting for months - and then again, I can have a watercolour on the go, and an oil in progress.  If it were an acrylic and oil, I might get my brushes - not to mention my paints - confused. Portraits - I've not done many, so claim no expertise; but on the whole, I find it difficult to leave them for long - the likeness, to which we are unfortunately slaves, is so easy to lose.
Apparently Leonardo was still fiddling with the Mona Lisa (if you'll excuse the expression) thirty years after he painted it and he only stopped then because he was dead! I think if I hadn't got a picture right after thirty years I might be tempted to give up.
I recall reading that somewhere Peter , he was never satisfied with what we have come to know and admire, always wanting to make small changes but never satisfied with it .
Really like your paintings Paul, great detail, agree with Alan about the faces. Looking forward to seeing them finished. Lovely to have you back Sylvia too, and best wishes Helen for regaining inspiration. I found it interesting reading all your different painting processes. I've just come back to one I'd lost interest in, decided to change one part I didn't like, which means changing all the other parts!
