Although I visited the exhibition at Tate Britain, over a year ago, I've just got round to watching the DVD - John Singer Sargent - Fashion & Swagger, which I'd ordered straight after. It's not just the Tate exhibition but it also takes in the Boston exhibition as well as Sargent's other works, such as the Boston Murals or "Gas!" at the Imperial War Museum. I'm a fan of Seventh Art Productions, who always give so much more than the exhibition itself, with great quality close-ups (see Sargent's brushwork on taffeta for example) and interesting back stories. You can buy the DVD, or download/stream many of their excellent programs here. Van Gogh, Klimt, Cassat, Copper etc etc. (no adverts!) https://seventh-art.com/product/john-singer-sargent/
I agree about the Seventh Art Productions, they are excellent. You get the info and the close ups which you wouldn’t get in situ with all the crowds around - yourself adding to the throng as well.
I've just realised my post looks like an advert for them, Marjorie.  😄 I have nothing to do with them, and only first noticed them in the edited versions we see on arts telly.
I think we know you’re not on their books Norette 😉
